3 legged wonder dog!
Karlee is our 3 legged wonder dog who will be 13 years old when we leave in February. My parents are the willing and able babysitters for the 12 months that we are travelling. She will be sadly missed and we dearly hope that she is well in our absence. Physically she is very well, despite having cancer and her leg amputated at 9 months of age. I do worry that she will miss her family so much that she may become a sad old dog. As much as I look forward to our adventure I feel like we will be leaving an important member of our family behind. Let it be known that we also own 2 fish. Considerably more have ‘visited’ our tank this year. Whilst we enjoying watching the fish, they are certainly more replaceable, at $4 each, than our beloved dog.
Karlee can come and visit her Auntie Simone whenever she needs to be reminded of Mum. Or I’ll just drive out to mum and dad’s and see her. Erin still fondly remembers the day that Karlee did a big poo, by the way!!!
I’m sure Karlee will love any extra attention. As for Erin, we will need to replace that memory with a better one!
