Cu Chi Tunnels by Harris Baigrie
Cu Chi Tunnels are a complex of tunnels, over 200 km long and like a spiderweb; that the Viet Cong used in the Vietnam War to fight the US Army. I went there on a bus with my Dad and Patrick. The bus ride was about 1 1/2 hours long to get to Cu Chi Tunnels from Ho Chi Minh City.

Where am I?
Here I am in a 20 metre long tunnel. The tunnel is about 1 metre high now but when the Viet cong used the tunnels they were much smaller. Even Patrick had to stoop to fit in the tunnel.
The whole tunnel for tourists to crawl in is 100 metres long.
This is one of the 20+ booby traps that the Viet Cong used in the Vietnam War.
Here I am on top of a tank that the US Army owned that is on display.
My Cu Chi Tunnel experience was great. I recommend it to anyone who visits Ho Chi Minh City. I score it 9/10.
Hi harris, cool report about the tunnels. It looked like it was really a tight squeeze down there. I liked the leaf markers they used to find the tunnels – did you learn to make one? Don’t be making any booby traps like those in my garden!
